Two-seater sofa, model Kubus, designed in 1910. Manufactured by Wittman, Etsdorf/ Austria, probably in the 1980s. Square black lacquered beech wood feet resting on hemispheres, brown leather covering quilted in squares. Manufacturer's label present on the underside of the sofa.
With its strict and straight shapes is the sofa a flagship of Viennese Constructivism and reflects Hoffmann's preference for square basic shapes particularly clearly.
